Freddy left his temporary home to join his home in eternity on Thanksgiving -- a day that was appropriate for him because he was so thankful for every day since given a "second chance" in 1985. He was so humbled at how the community pulled together to raise funds for his liver transplant. He always said he had to "fight and not give up" because he didn't want to let down the many people who supported and prayed for him. During this last battle, he kept saying he knew many people were praying for him and he didn't want to disappoint them. This was his "toughest battle" but he kept fighting till the end. With the many lives he touched and were touched by them, he was an inspiration to all and he definitely felt "twice blessed".
