ELYRIA - Stanley Olejniczak, 80, of 363 Harwood St., Elyria, died at 5 a.m. today in Amherst Hospital after a four - month illness.
Born in Poland, he had lived in Lorain for 40 years, before moving to Elyria 13 years ago. He was a slagger in the Open Hearth of Lorain - Cuyahoga Works, U.S. Steel, before retiring in 1956 after 37 years of service. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Church, Lorain, the Polish National Alliance, and United Steelworkers Local 1104 of Lorain.
SURVIVING are a daughter, Mrs. Felix (Stella) Pajor, Elyria; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step grand-children; 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call in the John R. Dovin Funeral Home, Lorain, 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow, where services will be 8:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, and 9 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church, Lorain. The Rev. Raymond Truszczynski will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
