MISS BERNELLE VIRGINIA DAVIDSON

Bernelle V. Davidson, 59, of 411 Van Fossen St., Winchester, VA, died Tuesday Winchester Memorial Hospital.

Miss Davidson was born Sept. 23, 1923, at Berkeley Springs, W. Va., the daughter of Herbert R. and Verna Harr Davidson. She had taught English at Handley High School since 1971, and before that in Frederick County Schools.

She had a A.M. degree from West Virginia University. She was a member of the Winchester Education Association, the Virginia Education Association, the National Education Association, the Virginia Association of Teachers of English, the National Council of Teachers of English, the Apple Valley Reading Council, and Alpha Phi, Delta Kappa Gamma. Miss Davidson was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

A funeral will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home with Dr. James R. Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs.

Pallbearers will be George L. Craig, Mack Brown, Wendell Phillips, Azmi A. Uthman, Ray J. Frantz, and Silvio E. Alvarez.

Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home.
