When Robert Lee "Bob" Morse was born on December 30, 1937, on his father, Clell's birth date, at their home, in Christian County, MO, his father, Clell, was 32 and his mother, Avis, was 28. He lived on a farm in Oldfield, Missouri, until about 1943, when his parents moved to Council Bluffs, Iowa. He attended and graduated from, Thomas Jefferson High School, Council Bluffs, Iowa. He married Karen Kay Anderson on August 12, 1955, in Pottawattamie County, Iowa.
Bob and Karen had seven children during their 44 year marriage. They lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa , for many years, from 1979-1998 they enjoyed living on a farm, in Union, NE and in 1998, they retired, in New Port Richey, Florida.
Bob retired from his job, as a mechanical engineer, after about 26 years, with the OPPD power company in 1996.
They lived in California from 1956-57 and 1965-1969, to be close to family. Bob enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, hiking, holidays with family, traveling across the USA in their RV, farming, a good joke and fishing.
Bob passed away on January 12, 2001, at a Omaha, NE, hospital, at the age of 63, following a long illness. His grave is located at Hazel Dell Cemetery, Council Bluffs, IA.
He was preceded in death by his sister Marilyn Morse, his sister Maxine (Morse) Wright, his father, Clell Morse, his daughter, Marilyn Morse, his son, Dennis Morse and his mother Avis (Ely Morse) Bernhards. He was a much loved husband, father and brother.
