SERVICE CONDUCTED FOR FORMER MAYOR
Funeral services were conducted in the Macy Memorial chapel in McMinnville Wednesday, May 9 for Warren Elmer Kidder, 71, Tigard, who passed away May 5 in Portland. Interment took place in the Carlton-Yamhill cemetery immediately following the service.
Mr. Kidder came to Oregon at the age of eight years. With an occupation in real estate, he served as mayor of Carlton for a number of years and took an active part on the school board, prior to moving to Tigard eight years ago. He was born in Ocononomow, Wisc., March 12, 1880 to the late Andrew J. Kidder and Sara Van Gilder. He was married in 1908 to Dora Pritchett.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Burnett Pope, Gladstone, and Mrs. Paul Pearson, Carlton; two grandchildren, James Pope and Susan Pearson; two sisters, Mrs. Alice J. Kutch, Grants Pass; and Marion Norton, Los Angeles, Calif.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
