Kidder was born September 24, 1878, in Wisconsin and married Amelia Anderson in Carlton in 1905. He had been a resident in Carlton for 60 years.
Surviving besides his wife are one son, L.W. Kidder, Carlton; two daughters, Thelma Layman, Carlton and Velma Alstedt, Portland; two brothers, Burr Kidder, San Jose, and Warren Kidder, Tigard and one sister, Marion Norton, California.
