Alfred M. Barber, born in Bath Township October 2, 1830. Married Sarah Vansickle of Bath on October 6, 1857. Engaged in the grain and produce business, was an original member and director of the Bank of Akron, vice president of the City National Bank of Akron and of the Akron Belting Company. Lived in a fine residence at the corner of North Prospect and Park Streets and owned a 280 acre farm in Copley Township.
