MERCED (Merced Co.), Jan. 9 – Funeral services for Lloyd A. Brandon, 49, of San Francisco, son of the late Aberson [sic] Brandon of Le Grand and Mrs. Julia Brandon of Merced, were held this afternoon in the mission chapel of the Ivers and Alcorn Funeral Home. Brandon, who died in the marine hospital in Chelsea, Mass., from a heart attack on January 1st, was born in Ione and lived in Le Grand for many years. He enlisted in the United States Navy during the world war and served as marine engineer until his death. He leaves five brothers, H. H. Brandon, Fresno; Roger M. Brandon and H. D. Brandon, Stockton; O. A. Brandon, Chicago, and R. C. Brandon, Le Grand. He was the brother of Mrs. E. T. Cunningham and Mrs. Leslie Kahl of Le Grand; Mrs. J. R. Baxter, Merced, and Mrs. J. T. Many Visitors Attend Brandon Funeral Here
A large group of relatives and friends of the late Lloyd A. Brandon, 49, marine engineer who died in Chelsea, Mass. were in Merced last week from many cities to attend his funeral. The group included Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Sing and Mrs. Max Smith of San Francisco; Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Brandon, Mrs. Melvin R. Gibbs, Mrs. Arden Cornell, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hansen, Mrs. John Nicely, Mrs. B. B. Phillips, Mrs. Bradley Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Will Hart, Mr. and Mrs. Will Rhoads and Mrs. Ruth Brandon of Fresno; Mr. and Mrs. R. M. Brandon, Mr. and Mrs. H. D.
