Joe Amaro was born in Lemoore California on December 21, 1931. He was brought up working on a farm until he enlisted
in the United States army in the 1950's. After being honorably discharged from the army, he was married to Irene
Lawrence on July 5, 1958. In May of 1959 their first child was born, Vernon Joseph Amaro. The following year on August 6, their only daughter was born, Sheila Marie Amaro. Late in
1961 a second son was born to them, Shannon Michael Amaro.
After five years passed their final son was born in December,
1966, Jerry Dean Amaro. Joe worked for M. Curti and sons
in Waukena beginning in 1961 and retired from the company in
1992. Joe became a Grandfather in July of 1981 when his first Grandson Marty Joe Hawley was born. Four years later a second Grandson Waylon Hawley was born in December of 1985. These two Grandchildren were from his Daughter Sheila.
In April of 1987 another Grandson Nicholas Amaro was born to
son Shannon. After his death in 1997 a Grandaughter Raelean
Amaro was born in October also to Shannon. In September of 1998 his second Grandaughter Alexis Raquel Amaro was born to
his youngest son Jerry Dean. Joe developed congestive heart failure and passed away on April 20, 1997. He was interred in The Tulare District Cemetary on April 24, 1997. We all love him and miss him dearly.
