Actor. Born Stanley Andrzejewski in Chicago, Illinois, he was best remembered for his role as the voice of Daddy Warbucks on the radio program "Little Orphan Annie" (1931-36). A popular character performer, he appeared in more than 250 movies to include "Beau Geste" (1939), "North to the Klondike" (1942), "Trail of Vengeance" (1945), "Road to Rio" (1947) and "Frontier Gambler" (1956). For television he was most noted for the role as the Old Ranger host on the series "Death Valley Days" (1952-63). He also a regular on "The Lone Ranger", "Buffalo Bill Jr", The Range Rider", "Annie Oakley" and "Tales of the Texas Rangers". He died at age 69 in Los Angeles, California. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
