STEVE WAS A YOUNG MAN WITH A GREAT ZEST FOR LIFE. LOVED HIS FAMILY AND FRENDS. HE WAS A WONDERFUL SON, BROTHER AND UNCLE. HE WILL BE FOREVER MISSED AND SO LOVED. STEVE WAS MY FIRST LOVE, AS YOU CAN SEE. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING MOTHER, DOROTHY (OMA) SISTERS, DEBBIE, WANDA, BRENDA, BROTHERS, RON AND JERRY. LOTS OF NEICES AND NEPHEWS WHO HE ADORED AND THEY ADORED HIM AS WELL. HE WORKED FOR CENTRAL ELECTRIC IN BRYAN TEXAS FOR MANY YEARS, WITH MY FAMILY, WHO OWNS THE COMPANY. HE WAS LIKE FAMILY TO THEM AS WELL.
STEVE WAS SO VERY SPECIAL NOT ONLY TO ME, BUT TO ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO STILL MISS HIM AS MUCH AS I DO. HE WAS SO WONDERFUL....HANDSOME, FUNNY....I LOVED HIM DEARLY WITH ALL MY HEART, I LOVE HIS FAMILY THE SAME WAY!
HE LEFT US WAY TOO SOON AS A RESULT OF A MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENT. I HAD ASKED HIM NOT TO TAKE THAT THING THAT NIGHT, BUT TO TAKE THE TRUCK, BUT STEVE WANTED TO RIDE THE MOTORCYCLE....SO I GUESS IT WAS JUST HIS TIME....I TALKED TO HIM THAT NIGHT, AND I WOULDNT HAVE NEVER IMAGAINED IT WAS THE LAST TIME I WOULD HEAR HIS VOICE.....
ALWAYS TELL YOUR LOVED ONES THAT YOU LOVE THEM AND HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO YOU.......YOU NEVER KNOW......YOU JUST NEVER KNOW.
TIME SEEMS TO STAND STILL WHEN SOMEONE YOU LOVE PASSES, EVEN AFTER ALL THESE YEARS....IT SEEMS LIKE YESTERDAY....
REST IN PEACE MY DEAR STEVE........FOREVER YOURS WITH ALL MY HEART.
***THANK YOU MY DEAR TRISH FOR SPONSORING MY DEAR STEVE***
What Will Matter....
Ready or not, some day it will all come to an end.
There will be no more sunrises ... no more minutes, hours or days.
All the things you collected, weather treasured or forgotten,
will pass to someone else.
Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance.
It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.
Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disappear.
So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do lists will expire.
The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.
At your earthly end, it won't matter where you came from
or on which side of the tracks you lived.
It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant.
Neither your gender nor your skin color will be relevant.
So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured?
What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built;
not what you got, but what you gave.
What will matter is not your success, but your significance.
What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.
What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice
that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.
What will matter is not your competence, but your character.
What will matter is not how many people you knew,
but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone.
What will matter is not your memories,
but the memories that live in those who loved you.
What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.
Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident.
It's not a matter of circumstance but of choice.
Choose to live a life that matters.
