Charles Linus Lindsey died at his home in the Hawkins Chapel Community. He suffered from Bright's disease.
Charles Linus Lindsey married Cassa Dane Thomason on 22 January 1877 at Parker County, Texas.
He was a member of the Pleasant View Church and the Hawkins Chapel Community Church. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows and Knights of Pythias Lodge. Both of those groups did their rites at his burial.
Lindsey was an auctioneer by trade.
Survived by his wife - Cassie Thomason; children - Sarah Eula Lindsey.
He was a fine Christian man, husband and father according to his obituary in the Henry Chapel newspaper.
