Jacob Eversole b about 1760 Lancaster PA d about 1833 Perry Co KY s/o Jacob Eversole (Ebersohl) and Unknown Fisher. Jacob was a Baptist minister as well as a miller and had one of the first water mills in this part of the county. Because he could not speak English plainly, his congregation left him, but he was later furnished with a pulpit when members of his family organized the "Old Grapevine Baptist Church" where he preached many years.
Jacob Eversole married about 1784 Lancaster PA to Mary Kessler (aka Anna Maria) b 1764 PA d about 1834 Perry Co KY d/o Hans Abraham Kessler and Magdalena Unknown.
Jacob was the 4th great grandfather of Lee Smith from Clay Co KY. On his mother, Mary Jane Davis Smith side of his family.
And the 5th Gr Grandfather of our children Staci and Todd Smith.
Two of their children, one Peter Eversole became 3rd Great Grandparents of Lee Smith on his Mothers Davis side of the family.
The other child Mary Polly Eversole married Thomas Smith the IV making them the 4th Great Grandparents of Lee Smith on his Dad, Clyde Smith's side of the family.
