He passed away following surgery. He spent his early life in the farm home near Monroe, IA, where he attended and was a member of the Pleasant Hill church. He remained steadfast in faith and hope of immortality. During the long months of intense suffering he was always patient and kind. Nathan was a good man, jovial in disposition, generous, honest and industrious. He was a true and devoted husband and a kind and indulgent father, and grandfather. He never failed to give his full support to community and civic betterment. He was a member of the board of the Farmers Exchange for 25 years, and served much of that time as the secretary of the board. Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, Betsy, one brother, John Waddle, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Dora Marshall and Mrs. Mary Barr. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, 3 children, George Richard, Paul Alexander and Elsie Louise, and 5 grandchildren, his brother, James Waddle of Monroe, IA, and 2 sisters, Mrs. Grace Keller of Monroe and Mrs. Jessie Wilson of Newton, IA; and his aged aunt, Mrs. Marion Miller of Runnells, and many other relatives and a host of friends.
