WAR DEAD FROM AUGUSTA AND VICINITY REACH CALIFORNIA
AUGUSTA--The bodies of two Augusta boys were among the 2,792 which have arrived at San Francisco from the Pacific theater on the USAT Cardinal O'Connell as well as those of a Winthrop youth and a Richmond veteran. From San Francisco, the bodies will be taken to the Schenectady, N.Y., Depot or to Brooklyn.

The body of Pvt. John Phillips Pushard, USMC, will be buried from the Methodist Church in Richmond, his mother, Mrs Lillian M. Co??bourne of 6 Center Street, Richmond, said Tuesday morning. Pushard, who had been wounded at Guadalcanal in December, 1942, died in an automobile accident May 8, 1943, at Victoria, Australia. He was 21 at the time of his death.
