He entered land in Walker Co., AL at Holly Grove T14W R8S S18 on Sep 23, 1823
He joined the Primitive Baptist church in 1824 and in 1826 he was ordained to preach & severed for over 55 years
Robert is known as the Father of the Primitive Baptist Church of Walker Co., AL.
He served a term as a Repersentive in the Secession Convention and voted against inmediate secession but after losing he accepted the will of the Marjority
During the Civil War he rode a horse to TN to carry his sons some supplies & medical equiptment and he rode a few miles out of his way to show his sons his father, William, old home place
He died setting in the door way of his home.
I have a copy of his old Bible records from a 1834 Bible
