Obituary:
"FARMER IS FOUND DEAD. -- Otto Bierman, 59, farmer near Arlington, was found dead in a cornfield on a farm seven miles north of Arlington on Monday evening. A physician who was aiding in the search for Mr. Bierman said death was caused by a heart attack.
Mr. Bierman had left his home about 2 P.M. to cut weeds on a farm. When he failed to return, an alarm was sounded.
A Veteran of World War I, Mr. Bierman was a member of Leslie Downs American Legion Post at Arlington.
Surviving him are his wife and one daughter, Luetta, at home; and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Gottsch (Frieda) of Arlington, Mrs. William Franke (Hilda) of Fremont and Mrs. Albert Nieman (Ruby) of Arlington.
Mr. Bierman, a lifetime resident of this county, would have been 60 years old next Monday, September 14.
There will be brief services today (Thursday) at 1:30 P.M. at the William Reckmeyer & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Arlington followed at 2 P.M. by rites at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington. Rev. Carl Hillmann will officiate. Burial to follow in church cemetery."
