Alice Floree Rozier Cromer April 26, 2010

Alice Floree Rozier Cromer, 91, died peacefully on the morning of April 26 at Rolling Green Village.

Born December 6, 1918 to Sarah Alma West and Martin Simpson Rozier of Cassatt, SC.
Known to most as Flo, she graduated from Midway High School in Cassatt, Winthrop College, and later received her Master's Degree from Furman University.

She first taught at Lake View High School, then worked for the USMC Officer's Mess at Camp Lejeune, NC during World War II.
She was married to Dr. John Douglas McNair of Latta, SC and Arcadia, CA where she worked at the Pasadena Presbyterian Church.
After returning to South Carolina, Flo was married to Arthur Allison Cromer of Blackville, SC and Greenville, SC. Here she retired from Sara Collins Elementary School where she taught kindergarten.

Flo is survived by her two devoted daughters, both in Greenville, SC, Sarah (Sally) McNair Long with husband, Douglas Long and Libby Cromer Pressley, with husband Paul Pressley. Five grandchildren were blessed to have called her Granny, Ashley and Sarah Long of Greenville, SC, Alice Lea Pressley of Charleston, SC, and Art and Al Pressley of Greenville, SC.

One of her two younger siblings, Sarah Rozier Hill of Camden, SC, wife of Kenneth Hill, passed away in December 2009. Her brother, Colonel William Roderick (Roddy) Rozier lives in Pinedale, Wyoming.

She will be remembered by many cousins, students, and friends.

Services will be held at 1:30 on April 28th at the Blackville, SC Cemetery.
