Franklin Cemetery was moved from East Elkhart & Helen Street to Evergreen Cemetery in Bensalem, Pa., in 1947. (Originally petitioned for change in 1938 to make a ball field. The field is still in existence today. In 1960 the cemetery was sold to the Coonie family. It is now a part of Rosedale Cemetery. The lot is overgrown and no markers. Located off Ruche Rd & Galaway Rd.
Mary Ann (Carson) and James Hemphill were married on Apr. 4, 1867. Two of the wedding attendants were "Danuel Bolton and Joseph Ragan."
James Hemphill served in E Company, 183 Regt. P.V. as a Private.
