Actor. Fondly remembered for his participation in the Dead End Kid film series. His movies include "Dead End" (1937), and "Angels In Dirty Faces" (1938), which starred James Cagney. He later served in the US Army as a Sergeant stationed in the Special Services. After being discharged in 1946, he returned to acting, making a film with Marilyn Monroe titled "Dangerous Years." He spent some time in radio, and took odd jobs when acting roles became rare. He was last seen on American television in the role of 'Bert Munson' on the popular TV comedy series "All In the Family" between 1971 and 1976. He was the brother of actress Florence Halop.
