His starring roles on Broadway included, "Fiddler of the Roof", "Zorba", "Bajour" and many other Yiddish plays. For television his credits include "Harbor Command", "State Trooper", "Peter Gunn" and for his lead role on the CBS sitcom "Amie". He was also a noted voiceover artist and narrator for hundreds of films, cartoons and was the original voice of the character Charlie Tina, on the StarKist Tuna TV commercial. He died of a heart attack at age 62 in Los Angeles, California.
