Phyllis was born Jan. 18, 1928, at home to Joseph L. Earl and Sarah Minnette McArthur, the second of five children. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served a mission in the Texas-Louisiana area. Upon returning home she worked at the Great Western Sugar Factory and later went to Salt Lake to work.
Upon retiring she and her mother returned home to spend the rest of their lives, and she was preceded in death by her parents, sister Genevieve Fink, brother-in-law Ross D. Wardell Jr. and nephew Norman E. Wardell.
She is survived by sisters Romola Wardell, Joyce Earl and brother Lowell (Sodie) Earl.
Services were held April 20, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Haskell Funeral Home, with interment following at the Lovell Cemetery.
