Wife of Harold Stork and Harvey Hilgenkamp

Helen Bernice was born July 13, 1916 at Blair, Nebraska to Charles and Cassie (Hastings) Hansen. She grew up in the Orum, Nebraska area.

She married Harold W. Stork on June 23, 1935 at Blair, Nebraska. They were blessed with three daughters. The couple lived on a farm north east of Arlington, Nebraska until moving into Arlington in 1976.

Sadly, Harold died May 18, 1983.

Helen then married Harvey L. Hilgenkamp on January 3, 1987 at Arlington, Nebraska. He died April 27, 1992.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Arlington and was the church organist and member of St. Paul's Choir. She was also a member of the Lutheran Womens Missionary League

Helen passed from this life on Sunday, June 3, 2001 at A.J. Merrick Manor, Fremont, Nebraska, at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 21 days.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy & Carl Dein and Fern & Robert Brown both of Arlington, and Mary Grefe of Fremont and special friend, David Losee of Omaha; stepsons, Gary & wife, Joann Hilgenkamp and Rollyn Hilgenkamp all of Arlington; step-daughter, Judy Bushek of London, England; sister, Georgiana "Sis" French of Arlington; brother-in-law, Allard Stork & wife, Lois of Pepperspike, Ohio; sister-in-law, Edna Fuchs of Arlington; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands; brother, Harvey Hansen; and sister, Hazel Sorensen.

The family wish to thank you for your kindness and sympathy and invite you to lunch at the parish hall immediately following the committal service.
