Jack, the son of Henry Jackson and Pearl Elizabeth Burns, married twice. His first wife was Vera Gertrude Turner with whom he had three children: Gene O., Roy W., and Peggy Sue. Jack's second wife was Wanda June Seely.
Jackson moved to Odessa from Cooper in 1947. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Jack, who died at age 56 at his home, was an Odessa fireman.
The obituary lists the following survivors: his wife, Wanda; two sons, Gene O. and Roy W. both of Odessa; a daughter Mrs. Peggy Sue Sparks of Midland; a sister, Effie Neal of Sulphur Bluff; a step-daughter, Mrs. Mary Glisson of Odessa; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were at the Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Officiating was the Rev. Von Del Drinkard, pastor of the Central Baptist Church.
