She was born Dec. 5, 1921, in Fearing Township, Whipple, Ohio, to Robert George and Iva Gutheil Biehl. Catherine was a homemaker who dearly loved her family. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting, making many quilts and afghans for her family and others. She was a member of the Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ, O?Neill Senior Center, and was an RSVP volunteer, having volunteered many years at Selby General Hospital, Marietta Memorial Hospital, and the Marietta Tourist Trolley.
On Aug. 8, 1940, she married Howard M. Davis, who predeceased her on May 24, 1982.
She is survived by her daughter, Ruth (Donald) Otto; son, Robert ?Bud? (Dollie) Davis; grandchildren, Teresa (David) Ward and Neil (Heather) Davis; stepgrandchildren, John (Joyce) Otto, all of Marietta, Jennifer Duty of Belpre and James (Laura) Otto of Lincoln, Neb.; great-grandchildren, Tyler Ward, and Allison and Levi Davis; stepgreat-grandchildren, Haleigh and Hannah Otto; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy A. Steiner and Virginia F. Davis; and one brother, Robert Raymond Biehl.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Roger Rush officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call until the hour of the service.
