Freeport (Stephenson Co., IL) Weekly Journal
Wednesday, June 6, 1877, page 8

On Saturday, May 26, Mr. John Minnick, teamster for B & J Musser, when near the town limits of Orangeville, was thrown from his wagon and killed almost instantly. He was sitting on the top of the load of merchandise, and in crossing a little creek was thrown forward between the horses to the ground. Persons got to him within a few moments, but found him dead. It is supposed that he fell upon his head, breaking his neck.
