The Warrensburg Standard, September 18, 1897:

Married at Odessa.

At the home of Mr. J.W. McBurney, one of the most sightly and picturesque around Odessa, the relatives and a few friends witnessed the marriage of Miss Isola McBurney of Odessa, to Mr. Fred D. Tackett of Warrensburg. At "high noon" the guests were invited to the dining room. The strains of Mendelshon's wedding march announced the approaching of the bridal party. As they took position opposite the officiating minister, the music ceased, and Bro. Sharpe of the C.P. church, in a few well chosen and tender words, "made two hearts to beat as one." The dinner was well and daintily served. The happy couple left immediately after dinner for Warrensburg where a reception will be given them by the groom's mother.
Odessa Moon, Sept. 10.
