Mrs. Earleen (Mitchell) Tousinau of Pascagoula, Miss. went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, James Ellis Tousinau on Aug. 13, 2005 in Helena Miss. She was born in the free state of Tallahatchie the gateway to the delta. Mrs. Tousinau enjoyed a wonderful life traveling with her husband from New York, Hawaii, California, Maryland and points in between. She never slowed down, even after her husband's death. She turned 69 years young in England traveling in Europe and visiting old friends who lived there. She had a zest for life and lived it to the fullest. Mrs. Tousinau was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pascagoula, Pascagoula Eastern Star, and Rebekahs. She was very active in the volunteer work putting many hours in at the Red Cross, an active poll worker, and Singing River Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Abb and Mary Anna Mitchell; a twin brother, Elwood Mitchell; brothers, Arnold Mitchell, Clayton Mitchell and sister, Violet Mitchell Little.


Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ellen (Andy) Foutz of Pascagoula Miss.; son, James Mitchell (Peggy) Tousinau of Mobile Ala.; sisters, Pansy Roberson of Oxford, Miss., Frances Carlin of Norman Okla.; grandchildren, Shelly (Dr. Michael) Foutz-Lowe, Beau Tousineaux Foutz, Troy Kent (Katie) Foutz, Jeremy Alexander Tousinau, Jonathan Lamar Tousinau, Lauren Ellis Tousinau; great grandchild, Carrington Noelle Lowe and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday Aug. 16, 2005 at Calvary Baptist Church from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday Aug. 17, 2005 from the church beginning at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service time with the Dr. George Berger officiating.

Burial will follow in Jackson County Memorial Park in Pascagoula Miss.

Active pallbearers will be Beau Foutz, Troy Foutz, Jeremy Tousinau, Jonathan Tousinau, Dr. Michael Lowe, and Fred Ross.

It is requested by the family in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of South Mississippi, 4803 Harrison Circle, Gulfport, Miss. Also, the family wishes to express their gratitude and appreciation to Rita and Wayne Myrick and their staff for the care and love for their mother and grandmother. A special thanks to Quality Hospice for their tender loving care, especially Debbie, RN, Janet, LNA, Nancy, LCSW and Bonita, RN.
