| Birth: | Apr. 21, 1904 | | Death: | May 3, 1972 |  Actor. Born Etienne de Bujac in Carlsbad, New Mexico, he is best remembered for the lead role as Jack Driscoll in the film "King Kong" (1933). He made his big screen debut in "Heroes of the Flames" (1931) and went on to appear in over a 100 movies. While on the set of "Angel and the Bad Man" (1947), he met John Wayne, they became close friends and Cabot played supporting roles in many of Duke's movies such as "The Comancheros" (1961), "Hatari" (1962), "McLintock!" (1963), "In Harm's Way" (1965), "The War Wagon" (1967), "The Green Berets" (1968), "Chisum" (1970) and "Big Jake" (1971). He died of cancer at age 68 in Woodland Hills, California.
