Otto E. Armstrong, son of Oliver H. and Samantha Gartin Armstrong, married Bertha M. Newby on 28 March 1903 in Marion Co., Indiana. Bertha died in childbirth on 26 January 1905 in Anderson, Madison Co., Indiana. She and her infant are buried in Glen Cove Cemetery, Knightstown, Henry Co., Indiana. On 14 April 1909 Otto married Bertha Blanche Howard in Madison Co., Indiana. Otto and Blanche lived in Madison Co. the remainder of their lives. Otto worked for the Delco-Remy Division plant for about 24 years before retiring.

Otto E. Armstrong, 89, 1423 Arrow Ave., died at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Hospital after an extended illness.
Born at Hackleman, June 27, 1877, to Oliver and Samantha G. Armstrong, he had resided in Anderson most of his life. He retired from Delco - Remy Division in 1951.
Mr. Armstrong was a member of the Central Christian Church, Retirees Club and the Whetstone Brotherhood and Sisterhood.
Survivors include the widow, Blanche Howard Armstrong; two sons, Howard Armstrong with the administrative staff of Wright Junior College at Chicago and Dr. Frederic Armstrong of New York City, with the U.S. Steel Foundation; a sister, Mrs. Maude Fillebrown of Spirit Lake, Iowa; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to Baker Brothers Funeral Home where final arrangements are incomplete.

Final rites for Otto E. Armstrong, 89, 1423 Arrow Ave., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Baker Brothers Funeral Home by the Rev. Monroe Schuster, Pastor of the Central Christian Church. Burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery. Friends are being received at the Funeral Home.
