Helen was the daughter of Rose Ford. From an early age, Helen lived in St. Louis, Missouri with her mother and sister in a home they shared with her divorced maternal grandfather, William P. Ford.


Helen's father may have been a man named James Moran, but this has not been confirmed. Records indicate that a woman named Rose Ford was married in 1907 to James Moran in St. Charles County, Missouri. Regardless as to they were Helen's parents, her mother and father were no longer together by 1910.


Helen's grandfather, William Ford, worked as a butcher and meat inspector in St. Louis. He died in 1926. Her mother married Thomas Michael Quinlivan around 1921. He worked as a tile setter, and her mother worked as a waitress in a department store.


Helen married Joseph Edward "Ed" Beelek, Jr. on 19 Mar 1927 in St. Charles County, Missouri. The wedding was officiated by Justice of the Peace Max J. Frey.


Helen and Ed were the parents of 4 children. The family lived in Overland, St. Louis County, Missouri, and he worked as a construction laborer and bricklayer.


Helen's husband died of a heart attack in 1972.


She lived until 1994. At the time of her death, Helen was 85 years, 5 months and 5 days old.


She was survived by 3 sons; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 half-sister, Mary Quinlivan; and many extended family members.


In addition to her husband, Helen was preceded in death by 1 son, Edward "Murph" Beelek; 1 half-brother, Thomas Quinlivan; and 1 sister, Rose Hubbartt.


Visitation was held on 19 Feb 1994 and the following day at Baumann's Colonial Chapel on Woodson Road in Overland, Missouri. Funeral services began there at 9:30 a.m. on the morning of 21 Feb 1994 and proceeded to All Souls Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass.


Helen was buried next to her husband, Joseph.
