Littlefield Funeral Held At Alazan
Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Littlefield, 78, of 513 South Street were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Alazan Church with internment in the Alazan Cemetery.
Officiating were the Rev. M. A. Ervin, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, and Bill Sherril, pastor for the North Street Church of Christ. Mrs. Littlefield died Saturday in Memorial Hospital in Lufkin.
Born Dec. 6, 1890, in Canton, Mrs. Littlefield had lived in Nacogdoches for fifty years. She was the daughter of Ben and Fannie Broadwell Cantrell and a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Littlefield and R. P. Littlefield were married Oct. 7, 1907, and he died in 1966.
Survivors are three sons, Owen Littlefield of San Antonio, William Littlefield of Nacogdoches, and Elmer Littlefield of Grand Prairie; six daughters, Mrs. Lockie Prudhome of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Lola Watson of Pasadena, Mrs. Thelma Fraiser of Sanborn, N.Y., and Mrs. Mary Jo Dennis, Mrs. Alma Day, and Mrs. Bonnie Partin, all of Nacogdoches; a sister, Mrs. Brazora Cook of Athens; 27 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Paul Kendrick was in charge of music. Grandsons were pallbearers. Cason Monk Funeral Home directed arrangements.
