Conley Lee Moody died Aug. 25, 1976 in Wellington, Texas at Saint Joseph's Hospital.

He was born in Weatherford, Texas on April 11, 1921. His parents were William Henry and Annie Mae (Beene)Moody. When he was a few months old, the family moved to Wellington in 1921. There were five families that moved to Plymouth, north of Wellington. James A. and Mary (Bradley)Moody with their four sons . Mr. & Mrs. Homer Moody, and Mr. & Mrs. Francis A. Moody who were born in Saltillo, Mississippi came to Texas from Mississippi to Parker County. Mr. & Mrs Artie Moody and William H. Moody both born in Parker County. James and Mary moved back to Parker County with their three older sons and William and Annie Mae stayed in Wellington to rear their three children.

James Edward (1925-1945) was born in Wellington and Viola, Waymon and Conley Lee were born in Parker County. Conley Lee married Lorene (Young) Moody on
October 12, 1941 in Wellington. Conley Lee serviced in the US Army in WWII and was a farmer and raised cattle with his father. Annie Mae Moody died after her youngest son, James E. Moody was killed in action in Germany during World War II. Conley Lee and Lorene reared four children: Kenneth Lee, Rita Irene, Delores Ann, and Ernest Eugene Moody.

He was preceded in death by his son; Doyle Wayne and his brother (James Ed) his Mother(Annie Mae) and his father William Henry Moody.

Suvivors are his wife of 35 years of marriage; sons;Kenneth Lee of Ft. Worth, Ernest Eugene of Wellington; and two daughters; Rita Irene (Green)of Wellington and Delores Ann (Moody)McWhorter of Memphis and three grandchildren.
