Sergeant Frank E. Young Served with Co.D 11th Maine Vol. Inf. During the Civil War of 1861-65. He Moved to Nevada some time around 1870 and Worked in the Local Mining Assay office First in Virginia City then later in Carson city, He died on June 22 1878 at age 36 of an infection that set into a broken leg (Compound Fracture) caused by a horse carrage accident were he was thrown from the Carrage on June 7th. He was Buried in the Masonic Section of the Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City Nevada. He was also a Member of Gen. Custer Post No, 5 Grand Army of The Republic And one of their Iron Veteran of the Civil War stars appears on his Grave.
