Born Sept. 23, 1918 in Hampton County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward DeLoach and Ellen Winn DeLoach. Mrs. Nix was a homemaker and was a member of the Nixville Baptist Church. She was the widow of Jim Elton Nix.
Surviving are 2 brothers: Lester DeLoach of Estill and Earl DeLoach of Varnville; 1 sister: Earline Cope of Hampton. There are 33 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 pm in the CHAPEL OF PEEPLES-RHODEN FUNERAL HOME IN HAMPTON, conducted by Brother Paul DeLoach. Burial will follow in the Sandy Drain Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapel on Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 pm and until the hour of services on Wednesday.
