But Corp. Edson's Civil War Came to an abrupt end on July 1st 1863 When he was Killed while serving with his Regiment during the Battle of Gettysburg PA. At 32 years of age
He was Buried at first on the Field of Battle But later his Body was moved to the National Cemetery at Gettysburg in the New York Section D Grave 25.

There is an old Inked ID on back that reads "My Brother Albert Edson Killed at Gettysburg July 1 1863" The Photographer is Charles D. Fredricks 547 Broadway N.Y.C. and would date from around 1862.
