|Birth: ||1832, Germany|
|Death: ||Nov. 27, 1910|
The daughter of Herman Reisenbeck and Christina Bertke Reisenbeck, Catherin Reisenbeck Estermann was born in Germany in 1832 and moved to Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio where she married Bernard Estermann on November 16, 1858 at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cincinnati. Their children were Clara Estermann Meiners, Anna Maria Estermann Kruthaup, Mary Estermann, and Henry Estermann. She died of capillary bronchitis at age 78 on November 27, 1910 in Cincinnati and is buried beside her husband in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Cincinnati. Her great-grandson, Thomas J. Donnelly, is buried nearby.
DNA testing reveals Catherin and her direct female descendents and their brothers are of the clan of "Helena" (mtDNA haplogroup H) who lived 20,000 years ago in the Dordogne region of southwest France near the present city of Perpignan on the Mediterranean, gathering oysters and hunting and creating cave paintings.
Thanks so much to descendent Mary Donnelly Minges for so much of this information. Any errors, however, are mine alone. Please go to the "edit" link on this site with any corrections or additions.
