Bertha Viola Atchison was born in Kirwin, Kansas, February 5, 1896, and passed away April 25, 1916, aged 23 years, 2 months, and 20 days. She was the daughter of Henry and Mary Atchison, living west of this city. On June 17, 1914, she married Leo L. Lewin of Stockton, Kansas. They have one daughter, Della Marie, born March 20, 1915. Besides her husband and little daughter Mrs. Lewin is survived by her father and mother, one sister, Minnie, now Mrs. Will Adams, two brothers, Thomas and Loyd, and many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Lewin had been sick but a short time and came to her parents' home less than a week before her death. Medical aid did all it could but she died very soon after the turn came.

The funeral services were held at her parents' home Wednesday, April 26, the sermon being preached by Rev. Fred. Roys Bush. Interment was made in the Kirwin Cemetery.
