LEE WAKEFIELD BETTS(BATES): Kinsman; 89, who would have observed his 90th birthday next month, died Saturday night in Trumbull Memorial Hosp of complications from a fractur-ed hip suffered 2 weeks ago. He was born 8 Oct 1866 in Kinsman, son of ThomasV & Mary Wakefield Bates. His wife-the former Ida Curtis died in Feb of this year. MrBetts was a farmer & besides living in Kinsman, had also lived in Cortland for 25 years. He was a member of Kinsman Presbyterian Church. He leaves 6 children: MrsGrace Miller-Vernon; MrsJessie Elfring-Kent; MrsHelen Adams-Akron; Mrs Marian Dewbeck-NewtonFalls; GlenJ & LeeC-both of Kinsman; 2 sis: MrsStella Runyan-Warren; MrsMana Alexander-EspyvillePA; 14 grandchildren & 11 gr grandchildren. Service will be held Tuesday afternoon at McCurdy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kinsman Cem.
