She was born November 19, 1905 in Aledo, IL, the daughter of Sidney and Fannie May Henderson Bolton. She married Charles Lester Campbell in Palm Springs, CA on June 4, 1939. He died November 28, 1979.
Survivors include one son, Robert B. Campbell, Galesburg, IL and one daughter, Sydney Mae (and Joseph) Simpson of Galesburg, IL.
She worked as an accountant and bookkeeper for Harold Lloyd, who was a silent screen actor in Beverly Hills, CA from 1932 until 1943. She graduated from Aledo High School and attended Monmouth College for one year. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern California in 1932. In the early 1960's she received her teaching degree and taught in the Los Angeles school district, retiring in 1967. She was a member of the Delta Zeta and Phi Delta Gamma Sororities. She was a member of P.E.O. groups.
She had lived in Galesburg since 1983. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Galesburg, IL.
Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:30 PM Sunday December 19, 2004 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Galesburg Chapel. A private family graveside service will be held Thursday December 23, 2004 in Forrest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, CA. Memorials can be made to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Galesburg, IL.
