Enoch Sales, 77, Manhattan rancher and a lifetime resident of Gallatin County, died Saturday afternoon at the hospital here after a long illness.
He was born at Salesville June 1, 1881, the son of Katherine Smith and Alfred Sales.
He married Annie Marble of Bozeman Feb. 1907. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary at their ranch home east of Manhattan in February, 1957. Mrs. Sales preceded him in death in August, 1957.
Sales was a member of the Episcopal Church and also of the Montana Stock Growers Assn. for many years.
Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. John (Maggie) Cook, Mrs. Ed (Hattie) Cowan, both of Bozeman; Mrs. Earl (Ida) Robbins, Manhattan; two brothers, Oscar and Charles, both of Bozeman and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Dokken-Nelson's Sunset Chapel Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
