Gloria Jean (Hennington) Pontius, 83, of Morrilton, Ark., passed away Monday, Dec. 18, 2006.
She was born Sept. 13, 1923, in Port Arthur, Texas, a daughter of Mathis and Lois Calvert Hennington. She was a homemaker, of the Methodist faith and the widow of William D. Pontius.
Survivors include her son, William D. Pontius Jr. and wife Beverly of Harris Brake; daughters, Katherine Jill Buster of Morrilton and Kristy Jo Pontius of Sheridan; sisters, Gwinn Moore and Mary Ann Lamurey, both of Virginia; grandchildren, Lili Farris of Jacksonville and William D. Pontius III and Haley R. Pontius, both of Harris Brake.
Graveside services were 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2006, at the National Cemetery in Little Rock with Bro. John Chapman officiating. Arrangements were by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
