Mrs. Oscar F. (Anna) Feelhaver Died at her home in Obert on Monday Evening. Oct 7, 1918.
Death being due to pneumonia which developed from an attack of influenza that swept the world in 1918. Mrs. Feelhaver was taken ill on Tuesday of last week, and her condition grew steadily worse.
Efforts were made to secure a physician from Ponca and Newcastle, none were unavailable and a Hartington doctor was then called but her condition was such that no relief could be attained.
Mrs. Feelhaver was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Anderson. She was the sister of Stanley Anderson, the first Cedar Co. boy to give his life for his country in France. Stanley died July 15, 1918.
She was 37 years of age and is survived by her husband Oscar, and two adopted children, Laura 7 and Ardyce 2 years of age.
The funeral was held Wed. afternoon, the cortege, leaving the home at 2 o'clock.
After a brief service conducted by Rev. Jersing Thompson at the Paragon Church, burial was made in the Paragon cemetery.
Anna had 5 siblings including Alfred and Stanley Anderson who are buried in this cemetery.
