Jacob Rupert died in 1834. Rebecca Snook Rupert lived as a widow more than 30 years on the farm with her sons and maiden sister Magdalene after his death. Her neighbors to the east P Heck and to the west I E Heck.

Per 1860 census Unity Twp Columbiana she had her son Adam and Jacob living with her along with Magdalena Snook (listed as Rupert) age 60.
Per 1870 census she had in house just Magdalena Snook age 70. Magdalena listed as Rupert in 1860 and Snook in 1870 appears to be her maiden sister. After the death of Rebecca Snook Rupert, her son John Rupert lived in the house per 1900 census.

Update 2013 - Same farm believed to be where Hatie Rupert Snyder lived w/o Homer Snyder. She refused to leave when forced to old folks home. See her story.
