MARGARET POSTHUMUS WEILAND, 81, of Fair Lawn [NJ] died Tuesday. Before retiring, she was an operator for New Jersey Bell for 40 years. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers of America. Surviving is a sister, Eleanore P. Norris of Ridgewood. Her husband, William, died in 1971. Services [were held] Friday at noon at Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, Hawthorne, with burial in St. Peter Cemetery, Haverstraw, N.Y.

Margaret Posthumus was a daughter of Harko "Harry" Obe Posthumus (1881-1933) and Willemke "Minnie" De Boer (1881-1961). Her siblings:
Maaike (1896-1903), Trina (1903-1981), John (1905-?), Maaike (1907-1907), Elsie (1911-1912), Samuel (1913-1982), Eleanore (1921-1994).
