Jane was the daughter of Alfred B. and Grace (Reynolds) Williams, and sister of William A. Williams.
A grand-daughter of William Abbott and Sarah Jane (Purmort) Williams, she was also a great-grand-daughter of one of Saginaw's founding pioneers, Hon. Gardner D. Williams, the first mayor of that city.
She married Maurice C. Perkins on 21 May 1926 in Saginaw. He became a lawyer after their family got started.
They had 2 sons and a daughter:
1. Maurice Clark II, b. 1927
2. Winfield Scott, b. 1929, &
3. Sally Williams, b. 1934 (Mrs. Newman)
After the few years in Detroit in the early 1930's, the Perkins family came back to Saginaw, where they resided for their remaining years.
