Ethel Downey Dawson married at the age of 17 in Kentucky, moved to California four years later with her three small children to join her husband, Clinton Buto Dawson, in Dinuba. Of the seven children she and Clinton had, six grew up to marry and raise families of their own. She was a kind, loving woman who made beautiful quilts.
