BELTON — Graveside services for Virginia L. Ragsdale, 89, of Woodway, formerly of Belton, will be 10 a.m. Friday in North Belton Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Abbe officiating.

Mrs. Ragsdale died Tuesday, April 6, in a Waco hospital.

She was born on April 21, 1920, to Owen and Lillian Duck Goodnight in Holland. She graduated from Holland High School. In 1941, she married Roy Lee Ragsdale. She lived in Belton for more than 50 years. She attended the King's Daughters Hospital School of Nursing. She then went to work for the Veterans Hospital in Temple, where she worked for more than 30 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Belton. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980; an infant daughter, Anita Gwen Ragsdale, a daughter, Linda Lee Hutto; a son, Dr. Roy Michael Ragsdale; and a grandson.

Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Collier of Woodway; a sister, Betty Nutt of Valley Mills; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Lung Association.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Dossman Funeral Home of Belton
