Born June 12, 1965 in Chambersburg, Pa he was the son of Robert W., Sr. and Gladys M. (Butler) Rhone of Pond Bank. He lived his early life in Waynesboro and Mont Alto. He moved to Pond Bank in 1982.
Mr. Rhone attended the Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
He was employed at Regency Thermographers in Waynesboro, PA and then Rotorex in Walkersville, MD and then worked for his uncle with Franklin T. Rhone Contractor.
He was a self-employed musician. He played lead guitar in his family's band, "Round II". He also provide music for various benefit events such as: MDA, Muscular Dystrophy Association, played for the Harley Davidson Motorcycle rides for Child Abuse, and the Thunder For Children held at the Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
His hobbies included, hunting, fishing and NASCAR.
He was of the Christian Faith.
Mr. Rhone is survived by five children, Marvin L. Rhone, Jr., Casey L. Rhone, Kayla Elizabeth Rhone all of Waynesboro, Brandon D. Rhone and Ryan M. Rhone both of Williamsport, MD, two sisters, Marsha A. Miller, Mont Alto, Lisa M. Koons, Pond Bank, PA, three brothers, Robert W. Rhone, Jr. and Jeffrey A. Rhone both of Waynesboro and Victor W. Rhone, Pond Bank, maternal grandmother, Gladys Butler Kauffman, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He Gave The Gift Of Life. He Was An Organ Donor.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 7, 2001 in the Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro with Rev. George Myers and Rev. Thomas Hennlein officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery near Mont Alto.
