Theresa (Skorupa) Kovach, 99, of Waukegan, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, October 6, 2000 at Winchester House, Libertyville, IL.
She was born in Budapest, Hungary on July 2, 1901. She Immigrated to the United States with her family in 1911, settling in Joliet, IL. On September 23, 1923 she married Andrew Kovach and moved to Waukegan in 1942. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
She is survived by her sons, Richard (Mary) Kovach of Phoenix, AZ, Bernard (Betty) Kovach of Antioch, IL; four grandchildren, Kim (Cliff) Anderson, Lake Villa, Brian (T.J.) Kovach, Lake Zurich, Berry (Brian) McCoy, Marshfield, TX, Kevin (Theresa) Kovach, Antioch, IL; and five great grandchildren, Matthew Anderson, Max, Veronica, Miles and Jack Kovach.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew in 1986; her parents; four brothers; and three sisters.
Funeral services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, October 10, 2000 at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Tuesday at the MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 1521 Washington St.,Waukegan, IL.
